Polar Bear Day, celebrated on 27th February, is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the conservation of polar bears and the challenges they face due to climate change. Polar bears are an iconic species of the Arctic, known for their majestic white coats and their ability to survive in some of the harshest environments on Earth. However, these magnificent creatures are increasingly threatened by the melting of sea ice caused by global warming, which impacts their ability to hunt, find food, and thrive in their natural habitat.
International Polar Bear Day was created specifically to allow humans to reflect on how we can live a more sustainable lifestyle in order to help save and protect these beautiful creatures.
